Why Hire Susan As Your Next Motivational Speaker

Before I begin my presentation, I am aware that everybody in the audience is thinking: “Why is she in a power chair?  What does she have to say that will help me?”

That is my means of getting around since life has given me a small disability that inhibits my mobility.  It makes it hard for me to walk long distances or to stand for a long time.  It is more annoying than anything else and it certainly does not stop me!

I do not personally believe that this problematic situation should stop me from accomplishing all I want to do.  When there is a stick in the road, I either step over it, walk around it or find another direction.  As I share my life story with audiences everywhere, it encourages you to look for another direction when there are sticks in the way.

Something like this is part of life’s challenges and it is a situation where we must stop and analyze the position we are in.  Will this problem totally stop me?  In my case, the answer was “NO!”  My legs still work, they just need assistance.  In researching alternative solutions, I knew I could use either a power chair for long distances or a walker to traverse other distances.

Why did God allow me to take on a challenge like that?  Not having an answer dropped in my lap, I must speculate.  Maybe, just maybe it was to help other people in their life challenges.  To encourage them not to give up!  To let them know they are not alone.
